NRC President - World Champion

Nottingham Rowing Club President Tony Lorrimer competed for the first time ever at this years World Masters Rowing Championships being held at Libourne in France.

Joining forces with members from Derby Rowing Club and Maple Rowing Club in a coxed four age group I-M. The crew stormed into a lead off the start, taking a 2.5 second lead at the halfway mark. This lead ensured that the crew were able to dominate the field and they cruised home with a comfortable 1.5 second win over their second place rivals, RV Rijnland from the Netherlands.

Glasses of Crémant de Bordeaux sparkling wine will be raised in honour of this historic victory .

Produced in the same manner as Champagne but with different types of grapes. A super wine for drinking in the summer and the outdoors.

What better way to toast Tony's maiden victory at the World Masters Rowing Championships.
